Not too much to report today. We had our 2nd Marine Biology class and it was
over biogeography, currents, and sedimentary shores. The first part of our
lecture took place on the beach since we had a low tide. We took a look at the
marine life we could find washed up on the shore as well as the shells and
rocks.
After class we decided to head out to the rocks to do a
little snorkeling and the boys wanted to do a little spear fishing. While we
were snorkeling I caught a glimpse of a few tropical fish that were about 3
inches long, round, and had bright yellow and black stripes. I’ll keep you
posted if I find out what it is. The ended up getting a small puffer fish so
nothing they would actually be able to eat. We are also a little unclear as to
where you are about to spearfish legally. The boys have a map but we have been
told a few times it’s illegal where we were. They are going to get more
information soon I think.
