Day 26

Yet another uneventful day. Most of the camp was still off having their adventures in Murwillumbah and the Gold Coast so it was a pretty quiet morning. I used some of the time in the morning to get caught up on some homework and look into a few weekend trips for later on in the semester. The absolute highlight of my day though was getting to skype my friends and Muncie family for nearly 2 hours in the afternoon. I miss them tons and can't wait to share all my stories with them, love you guys!

Slowly but surely people began to trickle back from where they had been, telling stories of what they had done. The group that went forward with the hike came back soaked further confirming my decision to forgo hiking. They said they crossed 28 waterfalls and the hike was pretty rough. I think I would make it to the top on a normal day but they rain would have been a challenge for me. I am going to share a few of the boys pictures with you to further illustrate the kind of day they had.
A very wet hike, until they got to the top where they were above the raincloud
Glorious View: Irony
Rock above the rain cloud, the following was his facebook status about the hike

"Hiked to the top of Mt.Warning today with Matthew Austin Nichols and Zach Braddock, right to the top of that son of a bitch....then we walked down into a raincloud, that's right, we walked down into a raincloud...i came down on rain and not it on me, tables turned huh rain?

Later on in the evening Harlan and I headed for the tennis courts to play another set, he ended up beating me 1-6, womp! I had a rough time playing to the wind, next set wins our series so I'll keep you posted once we play again.

Most everyone went to the pub later on in the eventing but I stayed behind with Rock and Matt hearing all about their adventures on the mountain. I'm excited to hike it eventually but I really hope we get a dry day!
